About me
For over 20 years I have been working as a trainer, coach, consultant, facilitator and moderator. I was born in Germany,- and moved around many times to different cities and countries so I know what it means to restart as a person and with a project. I lived in Italy and Spain most of my life, but always worked in European surroundings.
My children have grown up with three mother tongues, therefore making our reality intercultural. I would say I am a European woman. And if it were possible, I would ask to be one of the first people to have a European passport, as Europe is my home. In my backpack, I have my German roots, a lot of international and European competences of other European countries, friends and a network all over Europe.
Green is my favourite colour, besides red. I live green values daily with all their contradictions. Nature, social justice and equality are important for me. Leave no one behind and give people a second chance. We all have a lot of capacity inside us, I like to help people put trust in themselves and discover their potential.
My skills
Why you should work with me
An impactful and inclusive event has for me different steps and levels. It starts with the first contact between the organizer and the trainer. It's important to clear up objectives, processes, to frame the outcome and outreach, to understand the target group, the cultural aspects, and organizational aspects — in short: good planning of an event is key.
Then comes the phase of realization, of bringing people together, make them feel not as guests, but rather as real owners of the event, creating the right atmosphere, making learning easy and adaptable to the target group. It is important to organize different settings of small and big groups, mix people, to create a space for all the diverse and different aspects and expectations.
For me, an inclusive event puts the individual and the group in clear focus. And a good event is followed by a good evaluation, debriefing and feedback, from all sides. It's important to get the learning lessons to refine the next event and attract participants. As a moderator and facilitator, I navigate through all of these steps and include everyone. I am responsible for the process, and not (only) for the result.
My work experiences
Since 2004 I have held the position as director of my own institute INDIÁLOGO – Institute for personal and professional development and formation in Barcelona. I give trainings, coachings, supervisions and work as a consultant in different areas such as the social sector, health sector, NGOs and small and medium-sized companies as well as multinationals. The variety of trainings range from leadership to team development, and also to communication trainings to change processes, conflict solutions and intercultural competences. I appreciate the possibility and opportunity of accessing a broader knowledge of different social realities and systems.
I work a lot in green and NGO surroundings and also focus on issues of leadership, communication and social skills. For five years I was the director of the foundation Heinrich Böll in Lower Saxony and at this time was also active in the fusion process of the Fundación Heinrich Böll on the national level. Before that I had worked as the secretary-general of the NGO Projektwerkstatt Umwelt & Entwicklung (project for environmental and development). Later, I started my career in another NGO „Liberación“ in an international surrounding dedicated to adult and young people in non-formal education.
