About me

I am a non-formal education facilitator (more than 10 years working mainly at an international level, designing and facilitating non-formal education activities, and since Spring 2020 delivering mainly online trainings).

Currently, I am a youth worker in a small town in Czechia and I am a founder of an international youth educational NGO beinternational.cz.

I am a member of the Board of Directors at the Green European Foundation.

I have been working mainly at the international level for more than 10 years, designing and facilitating non-formal education activities, especially in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. From my point of view, the perfect educational activity is based on solidarity, it is action and change-oriented and definitely considers the political dimension.

My skills

Why you should work with me

I have experience working together with the coordinators of events, in which we would specify SMART objectives of the event and discuss how they can be measured, preparing an evaluation form which would be sent directly after the event.

I see myself as a guide who takes participants on a learning journey that is safe and where everybody has a chance to contribute and learn. In previous application forms, we asked participants about any limitations and wishes they have regarding their participation so the coordinators could prepare a venue, meals etc. accordingly. I would also choose methods and tools accordingly.

On the spot at certain events, I would put chairs in a circle and start the programme with getting-to-know-each-other-activities and a warm welcome. This would then set the tone, in which I could introduce the objectives, programme and principles/values of the event, asking the group to share their expectations or motivation to participate, therefore ensuring that everybody understands why they are participating. I would always write things down on a flipchart or board and use lots of visuals, in order to overcome the language barrier. Small group work is key, thus I use different methods of group work, giving more time to participants if needed. I also use gender-sensitive language. Programmes are usually structured in time slots therefore allowing for some flexibility to slow down or discuss a bit longer.

After an event participants are asked to provide a short written evaluation where they can share their ideas for improvements. This allows for the team to build on the evaluations and improve the next event.
