About me

I am co-founder and project coordinator at Activist Handbook, the Wikipedia for activists. I am an experienced campaigner, organiser, mobiliser and trainer. On my website you can learn more about my experience in building grassroots people-power at both local and international level. I have been actively involved with the climate movement and green politics. I have studied regenerative culture in order to learn how to take care of the activists' well-being and fight toxic systems of oppression.

• 🦋 Butterfly effect: Real emancipatory change happens bottom-up. We need large scale grass-roots organising to fight oppressive power relations.
• 🏛 Fight for system change: blaming and shaming of fellow change-makers does not work. Let's direct our efforts to uprooting the toxic system that we are all part of.
• 💚 Careful with each other, dangerous together: We need to build a regenerative culture in activism
• 📢 Tell the truth: The current political system has failed young generations. If we want to achieve big change, we need to be honest about what strategies and tactics have been proven to be effective, and which have not.

My work experiences

• Activist Handbook: Co-founder, project coordinator, developer Rebel Tools
• Climate Movement Rotterdam: coordinated over 50 volunteers, built coalitions with 30+ organisations, organised the largest climate action to date
• DWARS and GroenLinks: organised campaigns for local, regional, national and European elections
• Federation of Young European Greens: was part of the coordination team of decentralised summer camps and the prep team for the Pizza & Write-a-thon
• European Green Party: developed the Green Campaign Handbook.

My education & training

Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences at Erasmus University College, Rotterdam, the Netherlands – graduated with honours
