About me

Through my lectures, trainings, events and books related to sustainability and the circular economy, I am able to bring knowledge to the community in a practical and inspiring way. I truly believe that all citizens have the power to make a positive impact on the planet, from their homes, jobs and communities. I am passionate about engaging local communities to shift towards a sustainable lifestyle. I have decided to take action and redirect my career in order to embrace the mission of promoting a circular economy and contributing to the zero-waste movement. Since 2017, I have worked as a freelancer on my own project – Vida ECOnsciente – promoting eco-educational workshops in schools and in the community. I have also been a Circular Economy Club Braga team leader (since 2019); Circular Economy Institute ambassador (since 2020); ECOnnect Portugal founder (since 2020); and Summit Food with Conscience co-founder and co-organiser (since 2020). My aim is to inspire, teach, transform and connect citizens, companies and entities to achieve a more conscious and sustainable world.

Why you should work with me

I have managed, co-designed and co-organized the project "Praça Circular" in a partership with Vila Nova de Famalicão Municipality (link: https://www.cm-vnfamalicao.pt/praca-circular-decorre-entre-17-de-setembro-e-13-de-novembro-com-cerca-de-20-atividades) :

  • I've organized an exhibition whereby local entrepreneurs were invited to promote their products and services, focusing on their circular economy best practices;
  • I have also managed trainers in providing workshops for the community on eco-competencies on composting, upcycling, repairing;
  • This experience included an e-book, with key-notes about the circular economy;
  • We’ve promoted a conference about circular economy, that was webcast to social media channels
  • Access to all the activities was free and open to anyone from the community, located in the municipal market (central and accessible building, with good public transport link), and respected the best zero waste practices.
  • In our workshops and guided visits to the exhibition, we welcomed participants of all ages ages, health and socio-economic backgrounds - with the mission "leaving no one behind"!
This event was financially sustainable, respected the green and inclusive values, promoted awareness, knowledge and skills development. This event also promoted the connection with the local network. The event was designed and made accessible according to the Sustainable Development Goals Compass.
